When creating artwork I may be inspired by an old book, textures, shapes and other artist in different disciplines including music. I tell students creativity happens when they are in a comfortable place mentally and physically.

When creating books a structure or shape may be the inspiration, then color and textures are considered. The tactile quality of paper and folding it is enjoyable and meditative. From there technology may be included using laser cut wood and acrylic and then combining technology with traditional materials such as leather, paper and book binding. Currently, I am exploring 3d printing of various materials such as FDM and paper.

Drawing is just for fun! As you see in my gallery most of my metal point drawings are of nature or my dogs.
